Hey Guys, How did the Mt Stuart Ascent and Descent go? I'm jealous. Give me another month and I'll be keen and ready to give it a go I reckon. I have walked from my home to the Ross Dam and back yesterday and today. There's a marked improvement of strength and endurance in my left leg.
I did some more of my hopping onto my left leg taking off from my right leg and then both legs. It was great entertainment for people passing by. This is when sunnies and an iPod are great to block them all out lol. I've been trying to get as low as my strength and flexibility will allow. There's some handy railings up on the Dam Embankment. I'm thinking they'll be handy for attempting some pistols as I improve further.
Was feeling like lifting something heavy today, checked CF.com and it was CF total and I haven't done that in quite a while. So since I had a vague idea of my last total I warmed up and got down to business: Squat: 145, 155PR, 160x SP: 67.5, 70PR, 72.5x DL: 180, 190PR, 205x went all out to try for 2times bodyweight, just could quite make it to the full up position...
So a total of 415kg or 913lb for a PR by 30kg, so happy...
But the fun didn't end there, as I was leaving another gym patron decided to have a go at me for dropping the weight and preceded to lecture me about lifting too much and blah blah, but in the same breath he also said he knows about crossfit and blah blah..... So apparently i'm not meant to try aim for a new DL PR, but if I do I need to hang onto it no matter what so it doesn't crash to the ground and disturb his workout aura.. But the best bit is he was on a stair machine whilst giving me a lecture about how I should be lifting weights, lucky I didn't put my chalk in, ohhh the outrage.... Sorry for ranting I am so glad I fly home friday....
Whoa! What a team! I swear the ladies that I were put with were ferocious. It was almost hazardous getting between them and the rower. Good work team. We beat the other team buy 600m!
