I made myself a climbing rope out of an old 50m static line(11mm) doubled over until it was eight strands thick then secured regularly with strapping tape. Works a treat and no splinters :).
Oh and it was so hot that chalk turned to milk in my hands(because of sweat) and the KB looks like it was crying.

I bailed out of the arvo session, ended up with a migrain after the morning session :(
