Paleo Challenge Question
ReplyDeleteDoes anybody know any paleo alternatives to bread or biscuits?
Specifically in regards to something to put your food between. Such as paleo sandwiches?
um, your hands... put the food between them, take it to your mouth!
ReplyDeleteno really, the sandwich culture is an unfortunate side affect of the high carb recomendations. Its then usually filled with a disproptionate amount of actual flesh or vegetation to make it remotely worthwhile.
really want to put you food on something, try an 'open' sandwich on a piece of halloumi cheese, or use large lettuce leaves (iceburg or cos) as a wrap. great for paleo kebab/taco/burritos. Shish kebabs (meat & vege on a skewer) are just as portable and you can even pick them up with your hands.
Lettuce or silver beat wraps.
ReplyDeleteGrilled egg plant also make a great open "sandwich"
